Refunds and cancelling

Charged ahead of the month, stop whenever you like, no part months. Set out in advance instead of argued over later.

The short version

  • Card only, and the charge falls due before the month it buys.
  • Walk away at any point. A stop takes hold when the paid month has finished.
  • We do not slice a month up into days.
  • Bill you for something nobody ordered and the money comes straight back.

How the billing is shaped

One order form makes one subscription. The card is charged on the day of checkout, then on the matching date in every month that follows, always for the month ahead and never the month behind. Whatever else a statement says, it shows this as FORTIFY 24X7.

Stopping a line or the whole order

Two ways to stop. Press the button on your account page, or write to the counter from whichever address paid, and it is seen to inside the working day. A stop kills the next charge and leaves the one already taken alone.

Nothing gets switched off early. Agents keep running and engineers keep answering, and when the covered month expires we walk you through a tidy handover and pull down whatever copies of your data each platform lets us export.

Why a month is not cut into days

Nine days into a paid month you decide to halt: those nine days are gone. The whole month runs and the whole month stands. Prices on this site are set on the footing that a month is one indivisible unit, and trimming days off for a single customer would push the shelf price up for the rest.

Money we return without a quarrel

Some situations are plainly a mistake of ours, and building a case for them should not fall to you.

Two charges for one monthA duplicate is reversed the moment we can see it.
More units than you orderedWe refund the gap between what the form said and what the card paid.
A charge taken after you stoppedWhere the stop reached us first, that payment reverses in full.
A line we could not stand upWhere a line simply cannot run on your platform, the whole of that line comes back.

Approved money goes back onto whichever card paid. Banks tend to hold it for a week or so before it appears.

Money we keep

  • A month that was served. Where the lines were live and being watched, that month is paid for, including the month you stopped during.
  • Second thoughts after the work. Provisioning, enrolling and watching is the delivery, and it was delivered.
  • An incident that happened anyway. Nothing here is insurance and nothing here promises prevention. A bad week is not a billing error.
  • Lines you never let us install. The platform licence was bought on your behalf whether or not the agent went on. Say so early rather than after four months of it.
  • A rise you had notice of. Thirty days of warning, and then the new rate stands.

Come to the counter first

A chargeback freezes everything: subscription, tenant, and usually the agents along with them, and untangling that runs into weeks. Mail support@shopcyberdefense.com first. We would rather hand back money we could have argued over than spend a month arguing, and when the error is ours we say so without fuss.

Trimming the order instead of ending it

Plenty of people asking for money back really want a shorter list. Counts can be dropped and individual lines struck off, leaving the rest of the order alone.

Write an order note or mail the counter. A change of that kind takes effect at the next charge, not the one already banked.
