Whose name is on the agreement

Shop CyberDefense is a trading name, and Fortify 24x7 is what stands behind it. The agreement is held there, the invoice is issued there, and the engineers are employed there. We print that on every page here so nobody meets it as news later on.

What one catalog line buys

One numbered line buys one managed capability. The vendor platform is whichever its catalog entry names, our engineers operate it, and the count is the count you ordered. It stands until the subscription stops being paid.

The aisle pages are part of this agreement, honest shelf talk included. Those blocks state where a line stops, and they exist to be leaned on, so the moment to read them is before buying rather than after complaining.

How the money is taken

Card only. Invoices on terms do not exist here, and cheques, wires and cryptocurrency get turned away at the counter. The subscription is charged as you check out, then again on that date in each month that follows, always before the period it buys begins.

The charge is performed by Stripe, which keeps the card on file at its own end. Nothing about it is visible to us or stored by us. Statements read FORTIFY 24X7. The number on the checkout screen is the number taken, tax settled in the same place where tax applies. Reprice a line you hold and thirty days of warning arrives first, along with a clear chance to walk.

When a card is declined

We retry, and we tell you. Left unattended, the subscription may be suspended. Ahead of that we make a genuine effort to get hold of a person, because switching off protection over nothing worse than an expired card helps no one. Suspension pauses the service. It deletes nothing, and lines come back within minutes of a payment succeeding.

What we take on

• Stand up each line you order on the platform its entry names, and keep it standing.
• Read what those lines report, during the hours the aisle page promises, and act where acting is called for.
• Answer order notes with a person who has looked at your account first.
• Own up when something we run breaks, the times the breakage is ours included.
• Warn you thirty days ahead of any rate change touching a line you hold.

What is wanted from your side

• Working contact details, the account address most of all, since sign in links and warnings are posted there.
• Enough access to enrol the machines and tenants you ordered lines for. Nothing unenrolled is protected by anything.
• An answer when a setting turns out to be a business decision rather than a technical one.
• Lawful use. These are tools for defending your own systems and nobody else's.
• Counts that match reality. Ordering forty and enrolling ninety breaks this agreement. It is not a discount.

Where the promises stop

No honest supplier in this trade can promise nothing will go wrong, so here is what is not being promised on these pages.

• That a system of yours will not be attacked, entered, or knocked offline.
• That every threat gets spotted, or gets spotted early enough to matter.
• That the service never stops, since the platforms underneath and the networks in between do fail from time to time.
• That any of this amounts to legal, regulatory or insurance advice. We supply evidence. Reading it against a rule is a job for your own advisers.

Rights your local consumer law refuses to let anybody sign away are not signed away here either.

Limits on liability

Where we are liable, the ceiling across every claim in any rolling twelve months is the sum you paid us during the twelve months before that claim came up. Profit you did not make, business you did not win, and data beyond whatever your backup lines can restore all sit outside what we cover.

None of that touches whatever the law declines to let anybody cap: fraud, and death or injury arising out of our negligence.

The material stays yours

Whatever your systems generate belongs to you. We handle it in order to run what you ordered, and for no other end. It is not sold. It trains nothing. It goes nowhere beyond the companies the privacy notice lists.

On the way out we help you extract copies wherever a platform permits it, then delete our side of whatever no rule obliges us to hold.

Bringing it to a stop

Do it yourself on the account page, or write to the counter from whichever address paid and it happens inside the working day. The next charge dies; the last one stands, because the paid month still runs to its end.

We can bring an agreement to a close as well: thirty days of notice ordinarily, or straight away where use is unlawful or a payment has failed and gone unanswered. Where the ending is ours, the unused portion of anything paid comes back to you.

Changes to these terms

Anything material is emailed to you no less than thirty days before it applies, and the edition date beside the contents moves with it. Carrying on beyond that date means the newer edition governs. Where it does not suit, leaving before it bites costs nothing.

Everything else

• This page, the catalog entries, the privacy notice and the refund policy together make up the agreement. A remark in an email alters none of it unless both sides write it down.
• An unenforceable clause simply falls out and the remainder stands.
• Letting something slide once is not surrendering it for good.
• You may not hand this agreement to somebody else without our written say so. We may hand it on as part of selling the business.
• Governing law is that of whichever state Fortify 24x7 is established in, with disputes heard by the courts sitting there.
